Dainthlen Falls

Dainthlen Falls tumbles over a series of natural potholes carved into the rock, giving the falls a distinctive textured look rather than a single clean drop. Local legend ties the site to the slaying of a giant python that once terrorised the region, and the name is often mentioned alongside that story. The falls sit just off the main road between Shillong and Cherrapunji, making them an easy stop for travellers passing through. The surrounding cliffs offer clear views of the cascade without requiring a hike.
