Built in 1776 on the edge of Jait Sagar lake, Sukh Mahal served as the royal family's summer retreat and later hosted Rudyard Kipling, whose stay influenced parts of his novel Kim. The compound now houses a small museum of regional sculpture and religious art alongside Kipling's former room. Entry is covered by a combined ticket shared with Raniji ki Baori and the 84-Pillared Cenotaph nearby.
