Vyas Cave

Vyas Cave sits on the bank of the Sutlej at the foot of Bilaspur town, named for the sage Vyasa who is believed to have meditated here before composing the Mahabharata. The site draws pilgrims who visit to pray and reflect by the river, and the town's own name is said to trace back to Vyaspur, an earlier reference to the sage. The setting stays quiet through most of the year, with the river adding to the contemplative atmosphere.
