The Road to Heaven connects Khavda to Dholavira across a roughly 30 kilometre stretch built directly through the White Rann, with salt flats extending to the horizon on either side. The drive is particularly striking at sunrise and sunset, when the light plays across the flat, treeless landscape in a way few roads in India replicate. Photographers and travellers making the Dholavira trip often treat the drive itself as a highlight rather than a simple transit route. Limited facilities along the way mean it is best driven with fuel and water in hand.
