Naina Devi Temple sits roughly twenty kilometres from Anandpur Sahib on a hill in the Shivalik range and is regarded as one of the Shakti Peethas, sites where, according to legend, parts of the goddess Sati's body fell to earth. Many pilgrims combine a visit here with their trip to Anandpur Sahib, drawn by its national significance within Hindu pilgrimage traditions. A cable car ride up to the temple adds a scenic element to what is otherwise a steep climb, making the site accessible to a wider range of visitors.
