Kumbhariya Jain Temples

A cluster of five marble Jain temples dating from the 11th to 13th centuries, prized for their intricate carved interiors.

The Kumbhariya Jain Temples stand about two kilometers from Ambaji town and form one of Gujarat's most significant Jain heritage sites. Five temples in the complex, dedicated to Mahavirswami, Parshwanath, Neminath, Shantinath, and Sambhavnath, include the thousand year old Neminath shrine built from the remains of an earlier group of 360 temples. The finely carved marble walls and ceilings rank among the finest examples of Jain temple architecture in the region, and the complex includes a dharamshala for visiting pilgrims.
