Karanja Narasimha Temple sits close to the road connecting Lower and Upper Ahobilam, with the Bhavanasini river flowing past to one side. The shrine takes its name from the Karanja tree once found near the site and shows the deity seated calmly, holding a bow and discus, with a cobra sheltering his head. Its location just off the main route makes it an easy addition for visitors travelling between the two main temple areas. The riverside setting adds a peaceful note to the stop.
