Vishalla restaurant

Vishala recreates a traditional Gujarati village inside Ahmedabad, with thatched huts, mud flooring, and lantern lit pathways replacing conventional restaurant decor. Since opening in 1978, it has served authentic vegetarian Gujarati thalis featuring dishes like kadhi, undhiyu, dhokla, and khandvi, plated on biodegradable leaf plates. Diners sit on the floor amid swings and gardens while folk dance and puppet shows play out nearby, alongside a museum of over 4,500 traditional utensils. The setting turns a simple meal into a full cultural experience.
